Many of life’s demands can cause stress, particularly work, relationships and money problems. Stress can affect how you feel, think, behave and how your body works. In fact, common signs of stress include sleeping problems, sweating, loss of appetite and difficulty concentrating.
The particular type of treatment for the stress depends upon its severity. Often a short-term cognitive and/or behavioral approach is effective. At other times, the more positive, goal-oriented approach of “life coaching” is more efficient. When the stress is a symptom of deep-rooted emotional problems, psychotherapy is indicated.
It would be best to consult with a professional in order to determine what the best approach in any individual case is.
